# Tokenholder Voting

The default Collection governance mechanism is a simple 1-token/1-vote model. The thresholds for a successful vote are defined in the previous section ([Default Collection Governance](https://docs.szns.io/album-governance/default-governance)). 

The parameters for default tokenholder voting can be changed by governance by the DAO through a custom proposal that updates the governance process in the smart contract. Additionally, we plan to add support for defining such parameters at Collection creation.
